Second funding call of 2024 – eight projects

The IDM Film Commission Südtirol is funding a total of eight projects in its second funding call of 2024, consisting of seven projects from Italy – three of which are from South Tyrol – and one from Germany. The five feature films, one documentary and two short films will receive funding for production and pre-production. 66 days of shooting are planned to take place in South Tyrol.

BFFB calling: lights, camera, South Tyrol

The 37th edition of the Bolzano Film Festival will be held from 12 to 21 April — featuring Vincenzo Bugno as artistic director for the second time, this year’s festival will centre around indigenous movies from Brazil. The festival’s programme includes six films supported by the IDM Film Commission.

In the first call of 2024, IDM Film Commission supports eleven projects. Seven projects from Italy, six of them from South Tyrol, three from Germany, and one project from Austria will come to South Tyrol/Südtirol for a combined total of 24 days of shooting.

Some Like it International

Two IDM films at the Venice Film Festival

The IDM Film Commission Südtirol goes to Venice! Two of the projects the Commission supported will be featured at the 80th Venice Film Festival: Lubo, by Giorgio Diritti, was selected as a Competition Title, while Vermiglio, the mountain bride, by South Tyrolean Maura Delpero, was selected for the Venice Gap-Financing Market.

Vista Mare premieres at Locarno Film Festival

The Locarno Film Festival celebrates its 76th edition, which took place between 2 and 12 August 2023. The IDM Film Commission Südtirol participated in the Industry Market Locarno Pro as well as being represented by a documentary it supported: Vista Mare, which saw its world premiere at the Festival.

The World of Short Film in Schlanders/Silandro

On Friday, 29 June, the first short film conference in South Tyrol/Südtirol will be kicked off in the form of the TSFM Summer Event #1: until 2 July, the event will bring together the local short film industry and the international market at the BASIS Social Activation Hub.

From crime-comedy to fantasy films, South Tyrol is at the centre of international productions in the second funding call of the year

The selection for the second funding call of the year is as diverse as it is cosmopolitan, consisting of two productions from Germany, six from Italy (of which four are from South Tyrol), and one production each from Austria and Great Britain. Four feature films, two documentaries, two short film projects and two series are set to spend 77 shooting days in South Tyrol.

Five times “Made in South Tyrol”

The 36th edition of the Bolzano Film Festival was held from 18 to 24 April in Bolzano/Bozen—for the first time with Vincenzo Bugno as new artistic director. The award ceremony also honoured the winner of FINAL TOUCH #8: Wiesenwood by Jannis Alexander Kiefer.
