From 15 to 21 May 2025, the IDM Film Commission once again attended the Marché du Film on the Croisette in Cannes for a week of networking, panels, and industry events. Among others, a delegation from South Tyrol/Südtirol joined the ImpAct Lab.
As expected, the 78th Cannes Film Festival and the Marché du Film once more proved to be a central platform for the industry, new talent, and trend-setting cooperations. The IDM Film Commission represented the local film industry in an international setting.
The ImpAct Lab, a part of the Marché du Film, once again saw a delegation from South Tyrol: Gottardo Giatti (Formasette) and his project Sanctuary as well as Petra Tartarotti (Albolina Film) with her project Figlia del fieno were the chosen attendees. The ImpAct Lab holds workshops and group sessions to bring together producers, experts, and industry representatives in order to promote and support sustainable, innovative film production.
At the Short Film Corner, Jasmin Schenk Vitale presented the MASO short film training programme to an international audience of experts on 21 May.
And speaking of: the short film NURA by Lorenz Klapfer, a project funded by the IDM Film Commission, was one of a mere six projects to be showcased at the Marché du Film WeShort event.
Another highlight of the 2025 edition was Co-Production Night on 17 May, co-organised by the IDM Film Commission as the main sponsor: an important networking opportunity centred on co-production markets and international producer networks.
