One of the main missions of the IDM Film Commission is to develop the South Tyrolean film industry. Our objective is to build a pool of expert staff and service providers to make South Tyrol even more attractive as a film location for both Italian and foreign filmmakers and, at the same time, to boost the local economy, particularly in the cultural and creative sectors.
With this aim in mind, we specifically support selected companies working in the film industry to settle in South Tyrol. The Business Development department at IDM Südtirol - Alto Adige advises interested companies free of charge and supports them throughout the process of establishing their business, relocating or opening their new office. IDM’s expert staff can provide information about funding and leases, pass on the contact details of other companies and important industry players, and advise on legal and tax-related matters.
