On 1 April, Bolzano/Bozen hosted the ACE Local Training Day for producers from South Tyrol and neighbouring regions. The focus of the workshop: gaining the know-how to develop a sustainability strategy.
This informative and discussion-packed day was organised by the IDM Film Commission in cooperation with ACE. It was held as part of the ACE Producers Workshop 2024–2025, comprising several seminars and networking events aimed at encouraging film producers to adopt new business models and explore fresh synergies for development and growth. The series of events is built on a key principle: In a rapidly changing world, the audiovisual sector cannot afford to fall behind. Staying ahead requires flexibility, adaptability, and, most importantly, the right strategies, strong leadership, and skilled implementation. Local producers Daria Akimenko (Helios Sustainable Film), Erald Dika (Korabi), Markus Frings (Moviemento Film), Gottardo Giatti (Formasette), Michela Parlavecchio (Frabiato Film), Carlotta Schiavon (Vayolet Films), and Martin Alan Tranquillini (Abisso Studio) took part in the event held in South Tyrol.
The programme included a range of expert lectures and networking opportunities. Producer Michela Parlavecchio shared her impressions: “A wonderful experience. All lectures were perfectly aligned with the realities of our daily work. To make our production companies more sustainable, we need clear leadership and strong communication skills. This one-day workshop offered valuable opportunities to build new skills and forge new connections. Events like these are perfect to initiate future projects and collaborations – also with colleagues from abroad.”
