And action! IDM’s film conference is back live and in person

Reading time

Yesterday evening marked the opening night of the eleventh edition of IDM’s INCONTRI film conference, which will bring together industry experts at the Meran/Merano Kurhaus on the banks of the Passer river until April 29th, 2022.

It has been two years since INCONTRI was hosted as an in-person event, but this year, IDM’s film conference finally returns as a physical place of encounter. The topic of this year’s conference is “Streaming Wars,” placing a strong focus on future-proof platform strategies, on how this industry development affects producers, audiences, and consumer behavior, and on how public film funding can adapt to this new reality.

The agenda is packed with several days’ worth of exciting presentations and discussions in the form of case studies, keynotes, panels and fireside chats with speakers including Nicola Guaglianone (screenwriter), Sabine Anger (SVP Streaming, Central & Northern Europe and Asia, Paramount Global), Ivan Madeo (CEO Contrast Film), Nicola De Angelis (Co-CEO & Head of Development and International Co-Productions, Fabula Pictures), Prof. Frank Schwab (Chair of Media Psychology, University of Würzburg), Tomas Eskilsson (Head of Strategies, Film i Väst), Benjamina Mirnik-Voges (Vice President, Original Production GSA, The Walt Disney Company) and many more. For more information on the line-up and participants, check out our digital booklet. We look forward to an exciting and inspiring conference!
