The MIA market returns to Rome from 9 to 13 October 2023. IDM Film Commission will shine a spotlight here on international co-productions, hosting a panel discussion titled “Some Like it International” on 12 October at Cinema Barberini.
Under the heading “Some Like it International”, the panel discussion on 12 October is set to focus on international co-productions. Fascinating discussions with the panellists will present South Tyrol as a perfectly situated, multilingual (film) location and demonstrate how co-productions can be realized with the financial support of IDM Film Commission Südtirol. A range of case studies from major recent international projects aim to highlight the practical aspects involved. Indiana Production will be showcasing Lubo by Giorgio Diritti, which competed this year in Venice, Vivo film will present Francesco Jost’s Deer Girl (currently in post-production) and Albolina Film will speak about Vista Mare, a documentary by Julia Gutweniger and Florian Kofler, which was shown in the Semaine de la critique section of the Locarno Film Festival in August. Birgit Oberkofler, Head of IDM Film Commission Südtirol, Andrea Arlorio, business affairs at Indiana Production, Serena Alfieri, delegate producer at Vivo film, and Roberto Cavallini, producer at Albolina Film, make up the panel, which will be moderated by journalist and film critic Alessandra De Luca.
