From 10 January to 28 February 2023, the eighth edition of the FINAL TOUCH industry programme is looking for film projects in their final stages by young filmmakers to help with the finishing touches. Apply now!
Financial, technical, or marketing challenges: these are issues that tend to arise during the final stage of a film project in particular. That is why the high-end industry programme FINAL TOUCH by the South Tyrolean Film Fund and Commission and the Bolzano Film Festival Bozen is aimed at young filmmakers, offering them help with content-related and formal decisions as they strive to complete their projects.
Filmmakers from Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and this year’s host country of the Bolzano Film Festival Bozen, Galicia (Spain), may submit their applications from 10 January to 28 February 2023. A jury will select a maximum of four projects to invite to the Bolzano Film Festival Bozen (21–22 April 2023).
During an intense feedback session with an interdisciplinary team of experts at the venue, the individual parameters for a successful film release will be discussed and the projects will receive the finishing touches. The FINAL TOUCH experts hail from the domains of festivals, international distribution, editing, post production, and financing. They are: Nikolaj Nikitin (Festivals), Sergio Fant (Festivals), Gaetano Maiorino (True Colours Italy – Distribution/International Sales), Nina Kusturica (Editing), Florian Geiser (Cine Chromatix Italy – Post Production), and Birgit Oberkofler (IDM Südtirol – Alto Adige – Funding/Financing).
In addition, FINAL TOUCH will once again award two prizes: the Cine Chromatix Post-Production Prize, offering the winner post-production services in the amount of 5,000 EUR for the completion of the project, and the TRUE COLOURS International Distribution Prize, which includes in-depth advisory services regarding an international sales and distribution strategy for the winning project.
