A premiere at the Berlinale – Berlin International Film Festival (16.-26. Februar 2023) thanks to the support of the IDM Film Commission Südtirol & Cine Chromatix Italy Post-Production Price: Tonia Noyabrova’s DO YOU LOVE ME?
The feature film DO YOU LOVE ME? by Tonia Noyabrova, a production by Kyiv-based Family Production, will celebrate its international premiere at the Berlinale, screening in the Panorama section.
As part of the “Ukrainian Films Now” initiative, Tonia Noyabrova’s semi-autobiographic coming-of-age film was awarded the IDM Film Commission Südtirol & Cine Chromatix Italy Post-Production Price at the Cannes International Film Festival last May. At the combined fundraising/networking event for Ukrainian film projects organised by various institutions and film funds, IDM supported DO YOU LOVE ME? together with the South Tyrolean post-production company Cine Chromatix Italy with a total of 20,000 EUR in post-production services for the completion of the project.
A Ukrainian/Swedish co-production, the film shows Ukraine one year prior to the fall of the Soviet Union at a point where the life of 17-year-old Kira is just about to begin – until her family and her country fall apart.
