Markus GollerIn the midst of the impassable landscape at the foot of the Alps, a group of young serious offenders is undergoing an experiential educational program intended to re-socialize them. Then it happens: a member of the program dies a violent death. Nobody knows what happened exactly, and the youths face a difficult decision. Should they wait for the authorities to recover the body, and investigate the crime or escape and take their fate into their own hands? The young people don't have much in common, though one thing unites them: they have damned lousy experience with the authorities and justice, and no faith in being treated fairly. Since they don't know who the perpetrator is, they have a sole option. They strike out into the only possible direction - higher and higher up into the Alps. Their getaway seems hopeless until they stumble onto the remains of a complex of World War I bunkers, with a system of tunnels where they can shelter from wind, weather, and pursuers.
