Synopsis

The peace and quiet of San Candido, a town in South Tyrol, is disturbed when Pietro, a forest ranger, finds the body of a young girl on one of his forays into the woods. Circumstances indicate that the girl has been the victim of a wolf attack. The case will put the new police commissioner Vincenzo on his mettle for the first time: he is still new to the city, having been transferred to tranquil San Candido from the city of Naples. Pietro finally manages to catch the wolf, but has serious doubts about whether the wolf really was the cause of the girl’s death. When veterinarian Silvia is knocked down and the wolf entrusted to her care is stolen, everything comes to a head – and Pietro and Vincenzo slowly come closer to learning the truth.
