Synopsis
Commissario Höllbacher is devastated. A wrongly accused priest committed suicide, after the public prosecutor, Massimo Nicoletti, had accused him of sexual abuse in public. Höllbacher feels responsible, and suffers a burn out. His old friend, Anna Thaler, chief Inspector of Meran, persuades him to come with her, to the quiet city of Meran and work there for her. Höllbacher gives in and moves to Meran. But the peace doesn't last for long. A couple is shot, in the middle of the day. She was the CEO of an Austrian bank and he was her managing director at Meran. The police suspects a terroristic motived assault, inspired by Islam. Höllbacher is shocked when he realises that Nicoletti will be the prosecutor in charge. Höllbacher soon suspects a personal motivated murder. Oksana, the parlour maid of a Hotel is able to give Höllbacher valuable clues and so he starts to follow the traces of the murderer. He realises, that this is the work of a serial killer, and he has not come to the end, yet.
