Born in 1976 in Mannheim, Germany, Oliver studied law before changing lanes and entering the Vienna Film Academy, specializing in editing. As an editor, he has worked with Austrian directors Sudabeh Mortezai, Stefan Ruzowitzky, Antonin Swoboda, Richard Ladkani, Valentin Hitz, and many more. In 2007 he founded FreibeuterFilm together with Sabine Moser in Vienna and works as producer and editor. Under this banner, 20 films have been produced to date including MACONDO (Berlinale Competition), JOY (London BFI Best Film), MY FATHERS, MY MOTHER AND ME (London BFI Best Doc), HIGH PERFORMANCE (Max Ophuls Audience Award), STILLE RESERVEN (Zurich Golden Eye Best Film).
