Martin Thaler was born in Brixen, in South Tyrol. He studied in Vienna, graduating in Political Science and in Acting from the Vienna Conservatory. In addition to working as a theatre and film actor, he started writing and directing. His first feature script was funded by FFF Bayern. His second feature was selected for the RACCONTI | Local Talent mentoring program and is currently in the financing phase. His first project as a director, the short film Peng, was presented at various festivals and won the Dolomitale Short Film Award.
