Windstill (aka Turn of the tide)

Synopsis

Midsummer in Europe. The heat is paralyzing. The lives of Giulia, Bianca and Luis don't go according to plan. In Germany, the day-to-day routine of Giulia and Luis runs like clockwork. She takes care of her daughter and Luis does his job as a chef. Luis is annoyed by the stressful nature of his work, while Giulia can't cope with the demands of being a mother. In South Tyrol, Giulia's sister Bianca works around the clock tending to her deceased parents' farm. She loathes the duties the farm imposes upon her and becomes lethargic. All three are paralyzed by their duties, waiting for something to change, until Giulia gets fed up. Without a word, she goes back home to Lake Reschen and Bianca, trying to break out of her conventional role.
