Salten larch meadows
Description
The plateau Salten/Salto stretches the area from San Genesio/Jenesien to Avelengo/Hafling and separates the Val Sarentino/Sarntal valley from the Val d'Adige/Etschtal valley. There is a particular landscape shaped by men, the biggest European larch meadows area.
Larches are resistant to cold and drought and are characterized by different colours according to the season.
