Casòn Hirschprunn
Description
The Casòn Hirschprunn Estate is one of the Alois Lageder wineries and is located in Magrè, about 30 km from Bolzano. Hirschprunn was first mentioned in the historical record in 1363; the estate has pressed Hirschprunn wine from grapes grown in its own vineyard since the seventeenth century. The estate and its farm buildings took on their form over the course of this century—and have remained the same up right up until the present day. Alois Lageder acquired the manor house, which is steeped in history and protected as a monument, and its associated winery in 1991. The Alois Lageder estate also includes a number of other wineries and the Tòr Löwengang manor house, which has a large barrique cellar. The Vineria Paradeis wine tavern is part of Casòn Hirschprunn as well.
