The Astra Cultural Center reopened to the public in October 2019 after extensive renovation work. Originally built as "La Casa del Balilla" by the architect duo Mansutti and Miozzo in 1936, after phases of different uses it functioned as a German-language cinema until 2011, when it was finally closed. It waited a few years to find out its fate; today, it is a cultural center with a focus on "Young Art and Culture". With a total floor space of 670 m2, Astra offers space for cultural exchange, experimentation and cultural production.
