Synopsis

The film is about the housekeeping team of a hotel in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. The women are migrant workers who from the belly of the hotel keep the tourism machinery running. In the laundry and in the corridors of the hotel, we explore the work of women: their movements, their gestures, their paths and their processes, and we will see their stories resonating inside the hotel's structures: where they come from, who they are, what motivates them. The film inverts the view and looks with the women in the backstage of the tourism narrative. Just like when the illusion of a theatre stage breaks because the stage workers enter the set and the audience is suddenly able to see all those tricks that make up a show.
