She had burned and concealed the body but now remembers hardly anything of those far-off days. After the crime she fell silent and has always been unwilling to tell the story of what actually happened. Once a week, she receives the visit from her father, the only member of a family who has always stayed close to her. Everything changes when Moncaldo, a model prison with its own university hub, welcomes the famous criminologist Professor Alaoui as a guest lecturer. With some reluctance, Elisa agrees to meet the professor as part of his research into family crimes. And so begins a difficult and painful process in which she tries to put the pieces of her past together again and remember what happened: we relive the facts that led her to commit the murder. Her ensuing crisis is inevitable, but it’s arguably from here that Elisa is able to start living again.
