Egna’s arcades
Description
Bishop Conrad of Trent founded Egna (Neumarkt) in the autumn of 1189. Year-round trade brought prosperity, which is still reflected today in the village centre. Egna’s portici (Lauben) arcades, which date to the sixteenth century, are indicative of this. The old centre has been carefully restored in recent years, showcasing the picturesque portici passageways.
