Civic Theatre of Merano

Description The Civic Theatre of Merano was built in 1900, in just 14 months. The classic facade is decorated with Art Nouveau elements, the style present in the supremely attractive interior. In the Seventies the theatre was closed down following a fire, and did not reopen until 28 November 1978, after it had been fully restored. In 2000, further work was completed on the roof, and the facade was repainted in the original colours.
