On Friday, 29 June, the first short film conference in South Tyrol/Südtirol will be kicked off in the form of the TSFM Summer Event #1: until 2 July, the event will bring together the local short film industry and the international market at the BASIS Social Activation Hub.
Short film will be at the centre of the TSFM Summer Event this weekend. This new industry get-together has emerged from a collaboration between IDM Südtirol – Alto Adige and the Talents and Short Film Market (TSFM), supported and co-organised by the German, Italian, and Ladin cultural offices, the ZeLIG School for Documentary, Television and New Media, and the BZ48H – short film contest. Invitees include film professionals from the German-speaking area, Italy, Eastern Europe, and the Balkans as well as South Tyrolean junior talents and young people interested in the audio-visual sector.
The programme includes panel discussions with international speakers and hosts about important topics in short film production, a master class held by South Tyrolean film director Ronny Trocker, two pitching sessions, one-to-one meetings with industry experts, and networking activities. The Visitors Programme gives aspiring young filmmakers the opportunity to gain some insight into the industry—an initiative to support junior talent and win new talent for the film sector. In addition, there are two short film screenings that are open to the public.
We wish all participants an interesting conference about all things short film and would like to thank the sponsors, the Tourist Office Schlanders-Laas, the Forst specialty brewery, and the Cantina Bolzano winery.
